17 Juicy

I had seen this one in Boots a few weeks back and fell in love! It's limey green with a lovely, subtle blue shimmer. They currently have an offer of 3 for 2. Fatal!

Think it was quite hard to capture the blue shimmer on the nails, but it looks awesome.

This polish is easy to use, easy to apply and the brush is small but very good and gives good coverage. It's quick drying and 2 coats did the trick. It's absolutely lovely and summery. Looks good in sunlight :-) Yah for sunny days. Love it Love it Love it.

8 out of 10 for this. Boots and as mentioned they have 3 for 2 on at the moment.

Avon Optic White

This is one of the older Avon polishes. I'm trying to weed my way through them and get rid of the ones I don't like. Optic White is a pearlish white.

All above are 2 coats. Not the best job of doing my nails!

This is easy to use, easy to apply and easy to hold. Tut tut visible brush strokes so be careful when painting the nails. I found this to be a bit pongy, probably because it's one of the older ones. Certainly was quick drying! 2 coats did the trick and it lasted well. Reminded me a wee bit of Avon's Star *sobs back in the days when I had long nails*. Thinking back, it may be slightly different! So I decided to keep this one.

7 out of 10 for this. I think this one can be found online in various places. Google it.

Sally Hansen Lagoon

Fell in love with this one right away. So it was bought! A gorgeous greeny colour.

This is easy to use and easy to apply. The lid is really nice to hold and feels comfortable and makes it very easy to paint the nails. It's fairly quick drying, which is nice. 2 coats does the trick and it lasted well. It's such a lovely colour! Loved wearing it.

8 out of 10. Got it from a wee shop for £2, but it's easy to pick from eBay and other places online!

Barbara Daly Denim

I picked this up about a year ago and finally got around to wearing it. I really liked it as it looked different from others they had.

It's blue with a pinky shimmer and flecks of pink glitter.

The lid is easy to hold but application is not very good as the consistency of the polish isn't great. I tried having a lot on the brush and that didn't really make a difference. Very slow drying too. 2 coats looks okay, but by goodness took a while! And it looks so good in the bottle, a pale blue with the shimmer! Oh well can't have everything. Not sure if I'll wear this one again.

6 out of 10. Not great quality. Must try another BD to compare. Under £3 from Tesco stores.

Rimmel 060 Hot Fever

I'd had Rimmel's Heart On Fire on the other week and it reminded me of my favourite ever red nail polish. This one :-)

This is easy to use, easy to apply and quick drying. It's a wee bit old probably early 2000s I reckon, so it's a tad smelly, though it's not really that bad! 2 coats did the trick! It lasted well and I love it. It's my favourite red of all time (so far) and I've recently managed to get another one <3

10 out of 10 for this. eBay is the only place I think you'll come across it for a few pounds. It's worth it, it really is :-D

Avon Wicked

Ever since I bought this polish I really had fancied wearing it and had high hopes for it.

This is easy to use, easy to apply and is fairly quick drying. Like all these Avon polishes, the brush is good. At first I thought it was black with red glitter, but doesn't really come across that way on the nail. Looks brown to me :-s which is slightly disappointing as I'm not really a brown fan :-(

6 out of 10 but only because I don't like the colour hehe. Good quality though. Online is where you'll find it. It sometimes appears in the brochure.

Technic Amethyst

After buying the Holo Technic polish and seeing what a good quality polish it was I decided to buy a few more of them! Here we have a gorgeous purple with a blue shimmer.

This is easy to use, easy to apply and formula is okay. Careful application is needed though as it's a bit streaky. It's also slow drying! It's a lovely colour and that blue shimmer is gorgeous. Love it! And I have to say it lasted well, very well!
