About Me

My photo
Scotland
I'm a simple Scottish girl with an unusual name and a strange obsession for nail polish! My aim is to capture what the eye sees, with a camera! Too much nail polish and never enough time. I have also started wildlife photography, which I enjoy very much. Welcome to my little world :-)

Marks & Spencer Ruby

I picked this up in a little cute 3 set a few months ago. It's a 5ml bottle but they do sell it in a full size bottle too. It is a lovely deep red colour.

Studio lighting.

This is easy to use, easy to apply and quick drying. The brush was good and the lid is easy enough to hold. Isn't it a gorgeous red? Lasted really well. Love it!

Max Factor Max Effect Meteorite

I picked this one up ages ago and fancied wearing a Max Factor, this is the one that popped out the drawer.

Studio lighting (which Santa brought me, bear with me while I get used to it and a different camera).

This is easy to use, easy to apply and fairly quick drying. It's a small bottle with a small brush so make sure there is plenty on the brush for good coverage. It's a lovely blue metallic colour! Lasted well.

MUA Mystical Glitter Nails Seahorse

Merry Christmas Everyone!

I bought some of the MUA polishes when they had the offer on the website a few weeks ago. This one is called Seahorse, it's an olive green/gold glitter colour.

All artificial light.

This is easy to use, easy to apply and fairly quick drying. The lid was comfortable enough to hold and the brush was pretty good. I'd say it as olive greeny/gold with glitter, which was nice and smooth. Mr Posh thought it was pewter, but his eyesight ain't that great without his spex! Lasted really well, good quality.

Stargazer 104 Neon Pink

This is one I've had for a good few years at least 10 I think! It's been well used over the years. It's about 1/3 empty but you can't really tell from the pic below!

Artificial light.

Natural light.

This is easy to use, easy to apply and quick drying. It's a gorgeous neon pink colour. Good quality and has lasted well over the years, wasn't thick or gloopy at all. Lasted well when worn!

Yah a post here! And to think I'm nearly finished the advent calendar!

All artificial light.

The last is a bit blurry, but shows off the different colours I think!

This is easy to use, easy to apply and very slow drying! It's black with a certain amount of sparkle to it! I like it and it lasted well!

Barry M Gold Foil

I used this as a base for Caviar Pearls, thought it was a good idea at the time!

Natural light.

This is easy to use, easy to apply and fairly slow drying, certainly compared to other Barry M polishes I've used before. Good coverage with one coat. Can't say it was very foil like, more metallic really. Lasted okay actually. Nothing special though.

Quiet times ahead for Economy

I purchased the Ciate Mini Mani Month Advent Calendar from Selfridges about a month ago and am planning to post for the 24 days. So the means this blog will be a tad quiet because of that!

Feel free to hop over to Posh Polishes to see how I am getting on with it!

I will try to swatch some polishes for here if I get the chance!

17 Wishing Star

Was in Boots a few weeks ago and spied this, just had to have it!

With flash.

Artificial light.

Natural light.

This is easy to use, easy to apply and very slow drying! It's golden and sparkly! Looks kinda purple/green with the flash on and in certain bright lights was easy to see it slightly changing colour. Lasted well for sure.
