About Me

My photo
Scotland
I'm a simple Scottish girl with an unusual name and a strange obsession for nail polish! My aim is to capture what the eye sees, with a camera! Too much nail polish and never enough time. I have also started wildlife photography, which I enjoy very much. Welcome to my little world :-)

Avon Aqua Fantasy

Yah one of the new Avon polishes. A lovely mint green pastel colour.

Tut tut what's the colour I'm wearing ;-)

In natural light *gasp sun*

How classy in a car park of all places! All above are 2 coats.

This is easy to use, easy to apply and okay drying, not fast but not slow. For application to be okay, you need plenty on the brush or it'll be streaky, but lots gives good coverage. It's really good for a pastel type colour and it lasted well and no scuffing. Nice colour - not really a winter one, more summery!

7 out of 10. Various prices depending on time of purchase from Avon ranging from £3 - £5. Got mine for £3.

Marks & Spencer Sparkle Pink (from Gift Set)

I had been after this polish for AGES. I saw it in store and had put it on my Christmas list but no one bought me it and by the time I got to the shops after Christmas it wasn't available :-( Then I spied it on eBay :-D. It's pinky with holographic glitter and it's AWESOME.

With flash.

All above are 2 coats.

This is easy to use, easy to apply and quick drying. It does dry slightly rough though. 2 coats does and it's amazing holographic glittery-tastic. It lasted well, must have had it on for a few days at least. Unfortunately it wasn't sunny and I would have liked a picture, so I'll wear it during the summer and try and capture one. Summer?? What's that!!!

8 out of 10. This one is currently unavailable at the moment, but it's worth trying eBay or other places online. If you can find it, get it as you won't be disappointed.

Nina Ultra Pro Molten Copper

I do like the Nina Ultra Pro polishes and they are such good value! This is another iridescent one (not to be confused with Molten Gold)!!!

A few different colours.

It's really hard to capture all the different shades! All the above are 2 coats.

This is easy to use, easy to apply and has an excellent brush. It's slow drying and very weak so needs a few coats. I think if I have the time, I'll apply 3 when I wear it again. It's iridescent heaven though! Yah.

7 out of 10. Easy to pick up from SSS or online. I picked mine up when they had the offer of buy 1 get 1 half price on and one costs about £3.50ish.

Accessorize Shade 42 Electric Blue

Yah my first post of the new year on this blog! And a nice blue one to start off the year.

It's blue with hints of purple.
All without flash.

And in natural light.
All the above are 2 coats.

I found this one quite hard to use, need practice I think! It's okay to apply (not that great really) and it's slow drying. It's a lovely shade of blue with a purple glittery effect. I used 2 coats and it needs at least that. It lasted well and was really nice!

7 out of 10. £4 out of Superdrug or from Accessorize.
